Onun d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnce yolculu\u011fu, \u0130slam d\u00fcnyas\u0131n\u0131n i\u00e7ine<br>d\u00fc\u015ft\u00fc\u011f\u00fc zihinsel daralmalar\u0131 tespit ederek, bu daralmalar\u0131 a\u015fma y\u00f6n\u00fcndeki \u00e7abalar\u0131n bir par\u00e7as\u0131 olarak<br>de\u011ferlendirilebilir.<br>Sorbonne \u00dcniversitesi\u2019nde ald\u0131\u011f\u0131 akademik e\u011fitimin, onu Bat\u0131 felsefesinin k\u00f6kl\u00fc problemleriyle do\u011frudan kar\u015f\u0131<br>kar\u015f\u0131ya b\u0131rakm\u0131\u015f olmas\u0131 ise, onun entelekt\u00fcel ser\u00fcveninde bir teslimiyet ve uyum s\u00fcrecinin ba\u015flang\u0131c\u0131 de\u011fil;<br>bilakis, ele\u015ftirel bilincin ve epistemik iradesinin tezah\u00fcr etti\u011fi, zihinsel meydan okuman\u0131n imk\u00e2n\u0131n\u0131 \u00e7o\u011faltan bir<br>d\u00f6n\u00fcm noktas\u0131 olmu\u015ftur. Bu y\u00fczle\u015fme, Bat\u0131l\u0131 bilgi rejimlerinin hegemonik tasallutunu i\u00e7selle\u015ftiren pek \u00e7ok<br>fig\u00fcr\u00fcn aksine, onun d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnce d\u00fcnyas\u0131nda bir esaret haline d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015fmemi\u015f; tam tersine, kendi irfan\u00ee ve k\u00fclt\u00fcrel<br>k\u00f6klerinden hareketle \u00f6zg\u00fcn yorumlar geli\u015ftiren, epistemik tahakk\u00fcme boyun e\u011fmeyen, zihinsel ba\u011f\u0131ms\u0131zl\u0131k<br>m\u00fccadelesine y\u00f6n veren \u00f6nc\u00fc bir tav\u0131r olarak v\u00fccut bulmu\u015ftur.<br>Eserde, modernitenin bilgi ve ahlak alanlar\u0131n\u0131 birbirinden ay\u0131rarak ortaya \u00e7\u0131kard\u0131\u011f\u0131 krize dikkat \u00e7ekilir. Gen\u00e7lik<br>y\u0131llar\u0131nda \u015fiirle hemh\u00e2l olan m\u00fcellif, zamanla formel akl\u0131n ve mant\u0131\u011f\u0131n dar kal\u0131plar\u0131n\u0131n hakikati ku\u015fatmada<br>yetersiz kald\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 idrak ederek, kelimelerin y\u00fczeysel anlamlar\u0131n\u0131 a\u015fan i\u015far\u00ee dilin ve derin \u00e7a\u011fr\u0131\u015f\u0131mlar\u0131n pe\u015fine<br>d\u00fc\u015fer. Ona g\u00f6re, hakikat; yaln\u0131zca akl\u0131n kuru hesaplar\u0131nda de\u011fil, kalbin, ahlak\u0131n ve dilin derinliklerinde sakl\u0131d\u0131r.<br>Taha Abdurrahman, ger\u00e7ek modernle\u015fmenin; r\u00fc\u015ft, ele\u015ftiri ve kapsaml\u0131l\u0131k ilkeleri etraf\u0131nda \u015fekillenmesi<br>gerekti\u011fini savunur. Fakat bir\u00e7ok modernist \u0130slam d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fcr\u00fc, Bat\u0131\u2019n\u0131n bilgi sistemlerini sorgulamaks\u0131z\u0131n<br>benimseyerek, \u00f6zg\u00fcnl\u00fckten uzak bir taklit\u00e7ili\u011fe savrulmu\u015ftur.
